Can AI change text in an image?
Yes. Upload the finished picture, mark the text, type the replacement, and download a new image. Exact font-file recovery is not guaranteed; style match is best-effort on weight, color, and local texture so the new words sit in the same region as the old ones.
How it works
- Upload. Upload a finished PNG, JPG, or WebP (up to 20 MB). Longest edge is capped at 2048 on the client.
- Select. Draw a box around the words, or use Detect text when generation is open. Review the OCR field and type New text (leave empty to remove).
- Generate and download. When generation is open, run Generate, preview before/after, and download. Free results include a small site watermark.
Same font, color, and background
Overlay tools drop a new text layer on top. This tool redraws inside the selected region so letter edges and background can blend with the photo when generation is open.

What this tool is not
It is not a layered design editor and does not open PSD source files. It does not extract commercial font files. Do not use it to forge ID documents, payment cards, medical records, transcripts, or other official records.
FAQ
Can ChatGPT edit photos?
ChatGPT can discuss edits and sometimes generate new images, but it is not a dedicated tool for replacing baked-in text on a finished PNG or JPG while matching nearby style. This site is built for that narrower job: select the words in your image, type the replacement, and download a new file when generation is open.
Is it free?
Email register and login grant 0 credits. There is no guest login. Sign in with Google or GitHub, then buy Pro or a credit pack when checkout is open. Free-tier results include a small site watermark.
Do you keep my images?
Uploads and generated outputs are kept only long enough to finish the job, then deleted after 24 hours. We do not use your images to train models. Billing logs, when present, store limited fields such as user id, resolution bucket, and status — not the image bytes.
Is there an API?
Yes. Pro and credit plans share an API credit pool. See /api/ for capabilities and billing, and /docs/ for Auth, Detect, Edit, and Errors with curl examples. Generation stays off until the server key is configured.
